Mediterranean Mimar Sinan Prize
“International Mediterranean Mimar Sinan Award” is an awarding program organized by the the cooperation of Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts and MED 21 Program (Osservatorio del Mediterraneo supported). International-Mediterranean Mimar Sinan Award Program aims to support architectural creativity in the Mediterranean World by providing communication and exchange of ideas among architects and supporting worldwide recognition of works belonging to the Mediterranean World.
The Award is part of an awarding net in the Mediterranean area. The award dedicated to Mimar Sinan promoting the architectural creativity in Mediterranean culture aims to emphasize the universal value of Master Sinan.
The award program has been organized every two years since 2014. The awards are given on the award ceremony held on the first Monday of October, which has been announced as the World Architecture and Habitat Day by UNESCO. Various conferences and exhibitions are also organized along with the award ceremony.

Prof. Najla Allani
Najla ALLANI is a Professor in Architecture and former director of the National School of Architecture and Urbanism (ENAU) – University of Carthage -Tunisia. She is the head of the research unit “Methods and Models for the Representation of Architectural Knowledge” (2MRCA) at ENAU and associate researcher at the Research Center of Architecture and Engineering (CRAI) Nancy-France. She is also vice-president of the Support Association to the MED21 Program.
Najla ALLANI is a graduate of the Technological Institute of Art, Architecture and Urbanism of Tunis in 1994, she also holds a DEA in “Architecturology, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence” of the Henri Poincaré University-Nancy (France) in 1995, a PhD in Architectural Sciences at the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine in Nancy in 1999 and an Habilitation Degree in Architecture of the National School of Architecture and Urbanism- University of Carthage – Tunis in 2010. She has to her credit about twenty scientific and technical papers in specialized international journals and conferences with reading committee and acts. She was reviewer and member of scientific committee of international conference and journal.
Prof. Paolo Belloni
Master graduation with honours in Architecture in the Polithecnic of Milan in 1993 after studying in Lisobon and Barcelona. He lives and works in New York and Maracaibo. In 1995 he opens his own office in Bergamo. In 1996 he found PBEBarchitects. From 1994 is involved in teaching activity in the Polytechnic of Milan where he is contract professor in Architecture and Landscape Architecture from 2004 to 2017. In 2002 he founded Archiforum, Association for Architecture. In 2000 was invited professor at the Technical University in Riga, in 2001 and 2002 at ELISAVA School of design in Barcelona, in 2002 at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, in 2012 at Bilgi University, in 2016 at The School of Architecture in Toledo, the School of Architecture of Thessaloniki and at the National School of Architecture and Urbanism in Tunis. From 2004 to 2007 is component of the Building Commission in the city of Bergamo. From 2009 to 2012 he has been President of the Architects Association in Bergamo. He is member of The National Assotiation of Architects in Italy and of the Italian Association of Landscape Architects. His built projects received several prizes and publications.
Prof. Dr. Deniz İncedayı
Deniz İncedayı graduated from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 1986. At the same University she has completed her PhD thesis on “Method for a Participatory Approach for Low Income Housing and Rehabilitation Areas in İstanbul” in 1995. She is teaching at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Architecture in the disciplines; ‘Architectural Design Issues’, ‘Socio-Cultural Values and Participatory Models” and ‘Studio for Construction Projects and Documents’. In the post-graduate studies and Ph-D program she has lectures on, ‘Socio-Cultural Values in Architectural Design Process and Participation Models’ and ‘Interdisciplinary Approach to Architectural Design’.
She has published several articles, books and researches on the related academic area, and has taken part in several juries, committees and work programs. She also has some housing and renovation projects in architectural practice.
Recently she is working as the Vice Rector at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She is a member of the Education Committee and Validation Council of the Union of International Architects (UIA); a Board Member of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (CAT) and as well as the editor of the journal mimar.ist of the CAT, İstanbul Metropolitan Branch.

Professor Emerita Fani Vavili Tsinika, MA, PhD, AUTh, is teaching at the School of Architecture Aristotle University Thessaloniki (AUTh) Greece and practicing architectural design.
Her work includes several projects on architectural design and has published many articles (over 250), research results etc. Among them are the following books: Hospital Design at the beginning of the 21st Century (ed), Designing for the Elderly, Designing for Mental Health, Aspects of Healing Environments (ed), Arts in Health Care Buildings (ed), Teaching Architecture in Extreme Conditions, Transparency & architecture, Pubic Libraries, etc
Professor Vavili is chairwoman of UIA Greek Section, executive member of UIA-PHG and co-founder of GUPHA, vice president of Hellexpo,member of several bodies (health, Culture, etc.), as well as jury member for Greek & international architectural competitions.
